| Accreditation Provides an Official "Stamp of Approval" |
Today's health care organizations are held to very high levels of accountability -- by peers, by the general public, and by Medicare and other payers.
Accreditation of computed tomography is a means by which medical practices can evaluate and demonstrate the level of patient care they provide.
CHECK LIST FOR ACCREDITATION SUCCESS
1.) Download Standards:
- Download standards (organization and CT testing)

- Review your site's credentials with respect to standards
- Engage a Medical Physicist to assist with Quality Assurance Testing and preparation of the accreditation paperwork
2.) Determine the following roles at your facility:
- Medical Director
- Technical Director
3.) Prepare to meet:
- CME requirements
- Radiation safety training
- Scanner operation training
