Xoran Sponsor of CORE Awards 2007
Xoran was featured in this month's AAO-HNS Bulletin as a sponsor of the CORE awards 2007.

David Sarment, DDS, MS, Director, Health Research: "Xoran Technologies, manufacturer of in-office CT scanners and passionate about the advancement of treatment, was the proud to sponsor the CORE awards 2007. We were thrilled to witness the recognition of young investigators, and were impressed by the high level of research. Many thanks to the Academy research office for their wonderful work!"

See page 19-22 of the Bulletin for the article on the "2007 AAO-HNSF Research Forum".

Still Pushing in Michigan
Crain's Detroit Business follows the play-by-play in Michigan as a sub- committee reviews the appropriateness of the State's Certificate of Need regulation. The regulation creates a barrier to acquiring point-of-care CT in an office setting, as the 7500 scans per year are achievable by only large hospitals. Eliminating the threshold is supported by the Michigan State Medical Society.

The committee needs to hear from Michigan physicians. To help change the process, contact Susie Vestevich, Manager of Public Relations at Xoran.
