The William Storms Allergy Clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado is a full service allergy clinic which provides diagnosis and treatment of nasal allergies, hay fever, asthma, chronic cough, bee allergies, sinusitis, food allergies, eczema and hives, and more.  The staff includes Dr. Storms, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Asthma Educators and board certified CT technologists.

The clinic also provides special procedures, such as, pulmonary function testing, exercise asthma challenge testing, methacholine inhalation challenge testing as well as sinus CT scanning with the Xoran MiniCAT™.  The William Storms Allergy Clinic was the first to have the Xoran MiniCAT CT scanner on the Front Range of Colorado.

Dr. Storms has practiced in southern Colorado since 1975 and is a Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.  He is joined by a very experienced staff of allergy nurses and nurse practitioners.

Dr. Storms, who has been performing clinical research studies for over 25 years, is also the director of the Storms Clinical Research Institute. His experience is in nasal allergies, asthma, sinusitis, diabetes, COPD and osteoarthritis. In past years, Dr. Storms has performed clinical research trials with such drugs as Claritin, Allegra, Nasonex, Flonase, Spiriva, Advair, Flovent, and many others. Dr. Storms has presented the results from these studies at national and international meetings. The MiniCAT is becoming more and more significant in the operation of the Research Institute.

Since installing the Xoran MiniCAT, Dr. Storms has been educating the public via news media about the benefits of this new technology in the diagnosis of sinus disease, using a reduced amount of radiation.

Dr. Storms has also worked with insurance companies to ensure better patient care with “point of contact” appointments that are far more convenient with less scheduling headaches and appointments. Patients receive the best possible care in one visit. This also reduces the amount of out-of-pocket expenses to the patient and less cost to the insurance carrier.

Dr. Storms, through the The William Storms Allergy Clinic and Storms Clinical Research Institute, relentlessly pursues the absolute best patient care achievable in the most cost efficient manner possible.
