Accreditation provides an ‘official stamp of approval’ for the provision of high quality CT imaging.

The AOA will host a webinar in response to the condition for reimbursement policy of United Healthcare to require accreditation by every freestanding facility and physician office that performs outpatient imaging services.  The webinar will cover the third party accreditation requirements for specialty CT by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation for Computed Tomography Laboratories (ICACTL).  The featured speaker will be AOA member, Jolene Eicher.  Jolene has successfully completed the accreditation process and has been granted accreditation in the areas of Sinus and Temporal bone by ICACTL.

Immediate next steps to get accredited, the ICACTL application, and required specialty CT policies will be outlined in this presentation.

About the Speaker:
Jolene Eicher is a twenty-five year Practice Administrator for Commonwealth Ear, Nose & Throat in Louisville, Kentucky.  She has held many positions with the AOA in recent years, including President (2004-2005) and Communications Committee Chair (2006-2007).  She is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society managed care task force and continues to contribute to the AOA as a member of the Speakers Bureau.

This webinar has been pre-approved by the Certification in Otolaryngology Practice Management (COPM) Advisory Board for 1.5 CEUs toward re-certification.
